Atropinum Sulphuricum – Atropine Sulphate

Atropinum Sulphuricum – Atropine Sulphate

The attenuations are prepared from Atropine sulphate, C34H48N2O10S (3a-D,L- Tropoyloxytropanium sulphate), MW: 694.9.

It acts like Belladonna, but is to be preferred in neuralgias, painful states, whoop- ing cough, migraine, optical illusions (everything appears larger than it is), biliary colic, and epilepsy. It should be used if Belladonna fails.

The German Monograph-Preparation Commission for the Homoeopathic Field of Therapy has, under the Preparation Monograph for Atropinum sulphuricum, pub- lished the following indication(s) in the German Bundesanzeiger (German Federal Gazette) for atropinum sulfuricum: congestive inflammation of the upper respira- tory passages; inflammations of the organs of elimination, including the skin.
