| Euphrasia is indicated for inflammatory eye conditions associated with excessive secre- tion or lachrymal flow. This plant, called eyebright, was already used as an antiphlogis- tic in folk medicine. The range of indications for Euphrasia is given by the following principal symptoms: stinging and burning of the eyes, inflamed reddening of the con- junctiva, inflammation of the cornea, swelling and sticking together of the lids, copious lachrymal flow, especially in the wind. |
