Constipation results when waste material moves too slowly through the large bowel, resulting in infrequent and/or painful elimination. It can result from either organic or functional disturbances in the system. BC-4 combines five tissue salts to address symptoms such as constipated bowels with dry, hard stool accompanied by dull headaches, foul breath, and coated tongue.

Calcarea fluorica 3X

• There is an inability to expel the faeces.
• Helpful for relaxed conditions of the bowel.

Calcarea phosphorica 3X

• Costive, hard stool with blood.
• Especially helpful in constipation in older patients.
• Constipation associated with depression, vertigo and headaches.

Kali muriaticum 3X

• Constipation with a white coated tongue.
• Beneficial in chronic cases of constipation
• Torpid liver.
• Light coloured stools due to a lack of bile from a sluggish liver.
• Patient’s symptoms are worse after eating rich foods, fat, and pastry.

Natrum muriaticum 3X
It is known as the water-distributor, essentially controlling the levels of bodily fluids to maintain a proper degree of moisture throughout the system.

• Constipation due to dryness of the mucous lining of the bowel.
• After stool there is a torn, bleeding, smarting feeling.
• Intestinal weakness.
• Watery secretions from other parts – watery vomit, eyes, excess saliva.
• Constipation with headaches.
• Haemorrhoidal constipation.
• Stools tend to be dry, hard and very difficult to pass.
• Patient may experience drowsiness.
• Proctalgia; neuralgia of the lower rectum.

Silicea 6X

• This tissue salt is helpful in constipation with chronic scrofulous and suppurative diseases.
• Especially indicated for children who are malnourished with pale faces.
• There is a loss of power in the rectum for expulsion of faeces.
• Faeces recede after partial expulsion.
• Soreness, stitches and shooting pain in anus.

Colic is sharp abdominal pains that result from spasms or obstruction of certain organs or structures, especially the intestines, uterus, or bile ducts. Such pain is attended usually by constipation. BC-3 will effect such symptoms as flatulent colic; colic due to inflammatory conditions, colic in children during teething or due to flatulence or constipation.

Calcarea phosphorica 3X
This tissue salt helps to promote healthy cellular activity. It is an important remedy for children to encourage normal growth and development. This salt is also a constituent in gastric juice and saliva, therefore aids digestion and assimilation.

Ferrum phosphoricum 3X
Helpful when there is colic during menstruation, with heat, flushing of face and a quickened pulse.

Kali phosphoricum 3X

• Colic in the hypogastrium, with ineffectual urging to stool.
• Bending double ameliorates patient.
• Abdomen is distended with gas.*

Magnesia phosphorica 3X
As the anti-spasmodic biochemic salt, Magnesia phosphorica plays a crucial role in the prevention of colic. A deficiency of this tissue salt results in nerve fibres contracting causing spasms and cramps. This salt is required to ensure rhythmic and coherent movement.

• Helpful for children with flatulent colic who tend to draw up their legs.
• The pain forces patient to bend double.
• Symptoms are better from friction, warmth, and belching of gas.
• Colic in the umbilical region.
• Muscular contractions
• Remittent colic with cramp-like pain.
• Gallstone colic.*

Natrum sulphuricum 3X

• Flatulent colic beginning in the region of the right groin.
• Bilious colic, with a bitter taste in the mouth.
• Grayish or brownish-green coating at the root of the tongue.
• Pain in the abdomen and small of the back, as if bruised.
• There is much flatulence, which is worse when patient is confined.
• Constipation is also involved.*

Asthma, allergies, intolerance

Asthma is a lung disease that causes obstruction of the airways. Typical symptoms of an asthma attack are recurring episodes of paroxysmal dyspnoea, coughing, wheezing, a feeling of tightness in the chest, and difficulty in breathing. Episodes may be precipitated by inhalation of allergens or pollutants, infection, cold air, vigorous exercise, or emotional stress. This particular combination of tissue salts will address symptoms of bronchial asthma, dyspnoea, dry tickling cough, spasmodic cough, and whooping cough.

Kali phosphoricum 3X
This tissue salt is an important constituent of the nervous tissue and consequently has a wide and powerful influence on the bodily functions.

• Nervous asthma.
• Asthma due to hay fever.
• Indicated for breathing, and depressed nervous state.
• Asthma from food.
• Symptoms are usually worse from mental and physical exertion, and from cold.
• Patients are ameliorated by rest and warmth.

Magnesia phosphorica 3X
Magnesia phosphorica is known as an anti-spasmodic biochemic salt and therefore relieves convulsive fits of coughing.

• Spasmodic nervous asthma.
• In asthma where flatulence is a problem.
• With paroxysmal dry tickling cough and difficulty in lying down.

Natrum muriaticum 3X
This biochemic salt has a powerful affinity for water and its prime function in the system is to maintain a proper degree of moisture.

• Profuse, frothy mucous and tears streaming when coughing.
• Spasmodic jerking with each inspiration.

Natrum sulphuricum 3X
This biochemic salt’s primary use is to regulate the density of the intercellular fluid environment by eliminating excess water.

• Asthma due to humid conditions with greenish, copious expectoration.
• Attacks are worse at 4 or 5 am, with cough and greenish, copious, slimy expectoration.
• Vomiting after eating.
• Worse in damp, rainy weather.
• Asthma from digestive disturbances.
• Asthma in children.
• Asthmatic breathing in young patients from a general bronchial catarrh.

Anaemia signifies a decrease in haemoglobin in the blood to levels below the normal range. It may be caused by a decrease in red blood cell production, increased red cell destruction, or blood loss. Signs of anaemia include fatigue, exertional dyspnoea, dizziness, headaches, insomnia, and pallor. BC-1 will improve symptoms associated with poor digestion, general wasting, neurasthenia, mental/physical depression and worry.

Calcarea phosphorica 3X
This salt is indicated when blood cells are too few in number. This remedy will provide new blood cells to the system. It acts as a nutritive and restorative for the system. It is especially useful for children and during convalescence.

• Severe pains.
• Fixing” pains.
• Pains are worse at night.

Ferrum phosphoricum 3X
This tissue salt is recognized mostly as an oxygen carrier. In an anaemic situation haemoglobin may be deficient. This salt can aid in forming new cells by bringing oxygen to new blood cells. It is the primary first aid remedy for haemorrhage. Ferrum phosphoricum is especially helpful in young girls at puberty.

• Pallor of skin.
• Weight loss.
• Excessively tired.
• Difficulty keeping warm.
• No appetite.
• Constipation.
• Delayed/irregular period.

Kali phosphoricum 3X
This tissue salt is specifically helpful in cases of lowered vitality, weariness, and prostration, all of which would be evident in an anaemic state.

• Lethargy; physical/mental exhaustion.
• Easily fatigued muscles.

Natrum muriaticum 6X
Cell reproduction is arrested if Natrum muriaticum is depleted in the system.

• Thin, watery blood with depressed spirits and prostration.
• Pallor of skin.
• Difficult stools.
