Measles, or rubella, is a viral infection that attacks the respiratory tract, eyes, and skin. Although it is typically a childhood disease, adults are also susceptible. Measles are very contagious and is easily spread by coughing and sneezing. Illness usually sets in between seven and fourteen days after exposure to the virus. The first symptoms include fever, cough, sneezing, runny nose, and red eyes that may be sensitive to light. In four or five days Koplik’s spots (tiny red spots with white centers) appear, beginning on the face and neck, gradually running together and extending down the body.

Ferrum phosphoricum 3X
This is the first remedy indicated for any fever or inflammation. This tissue salt is specifically indicated for symptoms of inflammatory affection of the chest, eyes, nose, or ears.

Kali muriaticum 3X

• Hoarse cough.
• Glandular swellings.
• Furry tongue, with white or grey deposit.
• After-effects of measles.
• Diarrhoea; whitish or light colored, loose stools.
• Deafness from swelling in throat.

Kali sulphuricum 3X

• Rash; peeling of skin.
• Suppressed rash; rash suddenly recedes with harsh and dry stool.
• Returning rash.

Leucorrhoea is a thick, whitish vaginal discharge. It is often a symptom of vaginal infection, such as that caused by the one-celled microorganism Trichomonas vaginalis, chlamydia, or monilla (yeast, or Candida albicans). This condition can also be caused by excessive douching, a vitamin B deficiency, the use of antibiotics or oral contraceptives, and intestinal worms.

Calcarea phosphorica 3X
This tissue salt has been used as a uterine tonic for the female organs and therefore is ideal for this condition. It is also prominent in young girls with menses that are too early and adults in which it is too late, especially in rheumatic patients.

• Albuminous mucous; leucorrhoea looks like egg white.
• Discharge is worse after menses, after stool, and after urination.
• Parts pulsate.
• Patient is cold easily.
• Acid leucorrhoea.

Calcarea sulphurica 3X

• Leucorrhoea accompanied by thick, yellow, bloody discharge.

Kali phosphoricum 3X

• Scalding, blistering and acrid discharge.
• Leucorrhoea is yellowish, orange.
• Leucorrhoea of nervous origin.

Kali sulphuricum 3X

• Yellow-greenish in color.
• Consistency of discharge is watery and slimy.

Natrum muriaticum 3X

• Watery, irritating, excoriating, scalding discharge.
• Leucorrhoea between or after periods, with dull heavy headaches and itching of the vulva.
• Greenish in color.
• Acrid pain during leucorrhoea, with yellowness to the face.
• Onset after walking, and in the morning.
• Leucorrhoea with headache.
• Colicky symptoms.
• Bearing down pressure.
• Slimy and corroding leucorrhoea.

Common causes of headaches include: stress; tension; anxiety; allergies; constipation; coffee consumption; eyestrain; hunger; sinus pressure; muscle tension; hormonal imbalances; temporomandibular joint (TMJ) syndrome; trauma to the head; nutritional deficiencies; the use of alcohol, drugs or tobacco; fever; and exposure to irritants such as pollution, perfume, or after-shave lotion. The brain itself is insensitive to pain. Most probably, the pain of headaches is due to dilatation of the arteries or to pressure of some sort. The dilatation may be in response to nervous stimuli, or the pain may arise from the neck muscles, or scalp, or from other nearby organs.

Ferrum phosphoricum 3X
This biochemic salt is useful as a first-aid for congested, throbbing headaches associated with the dilatation of arteries. It is the chief remedy in headaches of children.

• Inflammatory headaches from cold and from heat of the sun with a bruising, pressing, stitching, or throbbing pain in temples or over eyes.

Magnesia phosphorica 3X
This remedy has specific action on the muscular tissue itself and ameliorates any pains, which are darting, spasmodic in character, boring, lightning-like, and accompanied by a constrictive feeling. All of these descriptive words appropriately apply to many kinds of headache pain.

• Pain of headache is excruciating.
• Spasmodic symptoms.
• Neuralgic and rheumatic headaches.
• Shooting or stinging pains.
• Shifting pain.
• Headaches caused by occipital problems.
• Nervous headaches.
• Pain is worse in the occipital region and after mental labour.

• Patient experiences dull, heavy headaches, with drowsiness.
• Sleep is not refreshing.

• Headaches which occur before, during, and after menses.

A fever is an elevation in body temperature. It is a common symptom of disease but should be treated as secondary to the disordered state with which it is associated. Normal body temperature ranges from 98°F to 99°F. One should not have undue concern unless body temperature rises above 102°F in adults or 103°F in children. In fact, running a temperature is often helpful to the body. This defence mechanism of the body acts to destroy harmful microbes.

Ferrum phosphoricum 3X
The body normally maintains an even temperature by controlling the balance between heat gained and lost. Heat is gained by oxidation of the tissues, the primary function of Ferrum phosphoricum, which takes place during the process of nutrition. In the feverish state, balance of heat gained and lost is no longer maintained, more heat is being lost than gained.

• Catarrhal fever with quickened pulse.
• Inflammatory fevers.
• Chill develops at 1 pm everyday.
• Dry heat of the palms, face, throat, and chest.

Kali muriaticum 3X

• Fever with constipation.
• Tongue has a thick, white, furry coating.
• Catarrhal fever.
• Great chilliness; patient is better when covered in bed.

Kali sulphuricum 3X
This tissue salt assists in controlling temperature balance and in promoting perspiration, therefore it is an ideal remedy for any febrile symptoms.

• Fevers from blood poisoning, gastric, enteric, and typhoid fevers, scarlet fever, stage of desquamation, cold sweat.

Natrum muriaticum 3X
Natrum muriaticum is a chilly remedy, therefore is a key consideration for any body part in feverish condition.

• Chilly and thirsty occurring concurrently.
• Scarlet fever with drowsiness, twitching or vomiting of watery fluids.
• Profuse perspiration; night sweats.
• Hay fever with watery discharge from eyes and nose.
• Intense itching, heat, headache, thirst, sour sweat, backache, great languor, emaciation, sallow complexion, fever-blisters on lips.

Natrum sulphuricum 3X

• Intermittent fever; sweat without thirst.

Tonsillitis is an acute or chronic inflammation of the tonsils, typically caused by bacteria, usually Streptococcus, but may also be caused by viral infection. The onset is sudden with pain on swallowing, chilliness and fever. The tonsils become enlarged and exude a whitish, purulent substance and the glands of the throat may become tender and swollen.

Ferrum phosphoricum 3X
This tissue salt is a necessity in such febrile disturbances and inflammations at their onset, especially before exudation commences.

Kali muriaticum 3X
A deficiency of this tissue salt causes fibrin to become non-functional, and to be expectorated in the form of thick, white discharges. Along with Ferrum phosphoricum, Kali muriaticum is frequently needed in the treatment of inflammatory diseases, particularly those affecting respiration: coughs, colds, sore throats, tonsillitis, etc.

• Swelling of the throat

Ulcerative colitis is a chronic inflammation of the mucous lining of the intestine, especially of the colon. Severe diarrhoea, frequent bleeding and bloody stools, abdominal pain, tenesmus, and a development of ulcers characterize this condition.
Crohn’s disease is also a chronic inflammatory bowel disease, usually affecting the ileum and the colon. It is characterized by frequent attacks of diarrhoea, severe abdominal pain, nausea, fever, chills, weakness, anorexia, and weight loss.

Ferrum phosphoricum 3X
This salt is the primary remedy to be used in cases of inflammation and increased temperature. It is advantageous to use Ferrum phosphoricum in the early stage of most acute disorders, and it should be administered at frequent intervals until the inflammatory symptoms subside.

• Symptoms that begin with a violent fever.
• Pain is prevalent when inflammation is constant and is increased by pressure.

Kali muriaticum 3X
This tissue salt is frequently needed, along with Ferrum phosphoricum, in the treatment of inflammatory diseases.

• Intense abdominal pain, sensation as if being cut by knives.
• Tenesmus.
• Slimy, bloody stools.

Kali phosphoricum 3X

• Stool consists of blood.
• Swollen abdomen, and putrid, offensive stools.
• Tongue is dry.
• Prolapsed rectum.
• Tenesmus after stool.

Magnesia phosphorica 3X
This tissue salt has specific influence over muscle tissue and therefore corresponds to all kinds of pains, such as cramping, darting, spasmodic, boring, lightning-like, accompanied by a constrictive feeling. It is primarily an anti-spasmodic, and hence is curative in cramps and spasms indicative of dysentery.

• Cramping pains, worse bending double.
• Patient is better with warmth, friction, or pressure.
• Tenesmus.
• Constant desire to stool.
• Pains in rectum with every stool.

Calcarea phosphorica 3X
Calcarea phosphorica is helpful with diarrhoea from digestive disturbances, such as in infants from faulty assimilation of food. Also indicated for diarrhoea in teething children.

• Green, slimy, undigested diarrhoea
• Stool is hot, watery, profuse, offensive, noisy and sputtering.

Ferrum phosphoricum 3X
This salt is needed in cases of inadequate absorption of moisture in the intestines. Indicated in children’s diarrhoea.

• Stools of undigested food, brought on by a chill beginning with fever.
• Prolapse of rectum
• Stools are copious, watery, sudden, painful, often accompanied by vomiting.

Kali phosphoricum 3X
This tissue salt is primarily indicated in cases of diarrhoea in nervous patients with fright and other similar emotions as exciting causes.

• Stools have a foul, strong odor; noisy, offensive flatus.
• Prolapsed rectum; rectum burns and feels sore
• Profuse, painless, imperative stool while eating, with unsatisfied urging.

Kali sulphuricum 3X

• Yellow, slimy, watery, purulent stools; or, black, thin, offensive stools.
• Yellow coating of the tongue, especially at the root.
• Symptoms of cholera and cramps.

Natrum phosphoricum 3X
This tissue salt acts directly on the glandular organs of the intestinal tract. Useful remedy if diarrhoea is caused by an excess of acidity. Also indicated for young children who suffer from habitual constipation with occasional bouts of diarrhoea.

• Stools are sour smelling and white or green from deficient bile.
• Anus is itchy, raw, and sore.
• Creamy, yellow coated tongue.
• Vomiting of sour fluid with curd-like masses.
• Colic.
• Summer diarrhoea with lack of digestive power; stools are clay or green colour.
• Diarrhoea of teething children, often associated with worms.

Natrum sulphuricum 3X

• Watery, dark, bilious stools; only pain is colic and rumbling before stool; gas.
• Patient is worse eating, after rising, moving about, damp weather, humidity.
• Loose, gushing morning stool.
• Wart-like eruptions on arms and inner thighs.

• This tissue salt is particularly helpful in symptoms of nervous prostration, weakness, sleeplessness, and a voracious appetite.

Natrum phosphoricum 3X
This tissue salt is essential for the proper functioning of the digestive organs. The assimilation of fats and other nutrients are dependent on the action of this remedy.

Natrum sulphuricum 3X
This is the chief remedy in cases of diabetes mellitus. It has direct action on any deficiencies involving pancreatic secretions. Natrum sulphuricum promotes normal secretions by stimulating the epithelial cells of the bile ducts, pancreas, and intestinal canal.
