The mother tincture is prepared from the fresh young leaves and flowers of the plant Artemisia absinthium. N.O. Compositae.
Gastric catarrh. Heartburn. Distension. Worms. Nervous irritability. Delirium. Restlessness (constantly walking about for no reason). Also recommended in cholera.
The German Monograph-Preparation Commission for the Homoeopathic Field of Therapy has, under the Preparation Monograph for Artemisia absinthium, published the following indication(s) in the German Bundesanzeiger (German Federal Gazette) for absinthium: condition of excessive excitement and spasmodic contrac- tion (cramps); inflammation of the gastric mucosa.
