The attenuations of this sarcode are prepared from the ureter removed from healthy pigs (Sus scrofa domesticus).

The main indications are:

Nephrolithiasis. Disorders of renal excretion. Prostate problems. Hydronephrosis. Nephrosis. Pyelonephritis. Glomerulonephritis. Certain cases of renal hypertension.
